When we got to the front desk the only representative was on the phone handling someone who called in about a reservation.
My spouse and I had a reservation and showed up early (just after 12 noon). As a frequent business and personal traveler I've stayed in a thousand hotels throughout the USA and around the world and I've never encountered the odd check-in process that is employed at this hotel.
